In addition to battletech I play a number of other games. One that I've been playing for a while now is Star Wars Armada by Fantasy Flight Games. 

One thing about the game, it often comes down to a matter of millimeters when determining range, firing arcs etc.

I made a set of tokens to fit under squadron bases to help keep track of where they are during play.
