Alternatively, some people use a diluted floor cleaner with the first step. I’ve also read that using tire cleaner works well. I have no personal experience with these last two, but if anyone does or has another method, please let me know and I’ll post it.

Prior to painting or assembly, models must be thoroughly cleaned.
The urethane mold release will prevent your paint and glue from sticking if you don't clean it off.
There are a number of ways to get it off, I use soap and water first and then Acetone. Here are the steps:
- With a small brush, tooth brush works great, clean using soap and water.
- Allow to dry.
- Repeat
- Then with the same brush, clean with Acetone, available at any hardware store.
- Allow to dry, repeat.
Be sure to follow all safety instructions when using this Acetone it is very flammable and the fumes are very strong.
