General Instructions:

Many of Xmarx models require assembly. If you need specific instructions on one of the models, please email.

Generally, there are only a few things to remember. First, clean your new model well. Either clean it with Acetone (see painting instructions) or use a 100 grit or higher sand paper and lightly sand the faces that will be glued together. This will assure a good fit as well as make sure that there is no mold release left on the piece to interfere with the glue bond.

Be sure to cut or sand off any flash left behind from the casting process.

From there, all you need to do is apply a thin layer of glue and stick them together.

Some pieces may require pinning. Drill a small hole in each piece, cut a length of paperclip and insert into one of the pieces, allow to dry. Cut to length for the other side and glue together.

Pinning is recommended for any of the larger pieces.
