Prior to painting, models must be thoroughly cleaned.

The urethane mold release will prevent your paint from sticking if you don't clean it off.

It's simple. With a small brush, tooth brush works great, clean using soap and water. Allow to dry.

Then with the same brush, clean with Acetone, available at any hardware store. Be sure to follow all safety instructions when using this product!!

Repeat.

The odor of the Acetone is so strong that using it outside may be necessary.

Once clean allow to dry thoroughly.

Xmarx recommends primers and paints. They are expensive, but the quality is excellent!
